Lysander Wong is an animator working predominantly in paper cutout, mixed media, and other stop-motion techniques, aiming to connect the visual and physical to evoke a sense of tangibility and fragility. His films often investigate the ways we see, navigate, and inhabit the world, exploring identity and body through a queer and trans perspective.
He co-founded bugbyte with fellow filmmaker Isolda Milenkovic, where they run workshops, screenings, and other events, focused around their passion for DIY-cinema, animation, craft, textiles, and sustainability.
He was selected to be a part of FLAMIN Animations 2025 – 2026, a commissioning programme by Film London in partnership with Blinkink to support early-career animators in England. His films have screened at 25+ international film festivals including Vienna Shorts, Animafest Zagreb, and FrightFest.
